De Blasio looks like real beach bum in Gilligan hat for volleyball with reporters

Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip . . . to the Bronx.

Mayor Bill de Blasio channeled his inner “Little Buddy” at Orchard Beach Friday, as he donned a goofy looking Gilligan’s Island-esque bucket hat to play some beach volleyball — in a stunt that drew mixed reviews from local residents. Hizzoner played at least three games at the popular Bronx beach, including one with members of the press and another with a team led by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
