DCW rescues 23-year-old woman whose parents were trying to forcibly marry her off

The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) rescued a 23-year-old woman who was being taken to Jharkhand by her parents to forcibly marry her off.
The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) rescued a 23-year-old woman, who was being taken to Jharkhand by her parents to forcibly marry her off, from a moving train. A law student at one of the leading universities in the National Capital Region (NCR), the survivor wants to continue her studies after being rescued.
The DCW acted after receiving a complaint from a friend of the survivor on Tuesday. A DCW team then tried to contact the survivor on her cell phone before tracing her on Wednesday. The team learned that she and her family were about to board a train to Jharkhand on the same day.
