Dhawan smashed 92 off 49 balls with 13 fours and 2 sixes to help DC gun down the challenging target of 196 in 18.2 overs. Dhawan's 42nd IPL fifty came off 31 balls after which he upped the ante at the Wankhede Stadium and took the attack to the opposition to take the game away from Punjab. Pant was pleased as punch after the win as his team moved up to 2nd on the IPL 2021 points table after registering the 2nd highest successful run chase in the IPL at the Wankhede Stadium.
