DC chased down the target of 138 with 6 wickets and 5 balls in hand to register their first win over MI in over two years after having won against the 5-time champions back on March 24, 2019. It was Amit Mishra who plotted Mumbai's downfall in the match with figures of 4 for 24 in 4 overs. Mishra got the big wickets of Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard and Ishan Kishan to register the best bowling figures by a DC bowler against MI in the IPL.
