
Day before all-party Covid meet, Nitish Kumar asks migrant labourers to return quickly

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has said that migrant labourers who wish to return to the state must do so at the earliest. The appeal comes a day before the all-party meet to discuss the second wave of Covid-19 infections in the state.
With Covid-19 cases rising steeply in Bihar and with the government likely to impose stringent restrictions, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has appealed to migrant labourers who want to return to the state to do so quickly. Over the last 24 hours, Bihar recorded 6,133 new confirmed cases. This was the highest single-day spike in fresh cases in the state since the beginning of the pandemic last year. A total of 1,01,236 samples were tested for the coronavirus in Bihar in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate, which was 4.7 per cent on Wednesday, now stands at 6.05 per cent.More Related News
