A day after former Indian Police Service officer Amitabh Thakur was arrested, the Lucknow police filed another FIR against him on Saturday. On Friday, Amitabh Thakur was arrested in connection with the death of a rape victim who attempted self-immolation outside the Supreme Court premises on August 16. Thakur allegedly conspired with Bahujan Samaj Party MP Atul Rai to spread false information on social media regarding the rape case filed against Rai by the woman.
