IPL 2022, DC vs SRH: David Warner was spotted clicking selfies with Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson after Delhi Capitals secured a 21-run victory. Warner, who was with SRH until 2021, made an unbeaten 92 for DC against his former team.
David Warner's unbeaten 92 highlighted Delhi Capitals' emphatic victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday. Warner, who had won the IPL with SRH in 2016, parted ways with the franchise on a bitter note and he was in focus against his old team at the Brabourne Stadium.
Playing for Delhi Capitals this season, Warner has been in top form and he brought all his expertise against his former teammates to hit a match-winning 92 not out off just 58 balls. He also shared an unbroken 122-run stand with Rovman Powell for the 4th wicket.
David Warner was named man-of-the-match for his efforts in what was billed as a grudge match for the Australian batting star. Despite some possible resentment against the management, Warner seemed to enjoy the company of his old teammates and even hugged Kane Williamson before the game.
Warner and Williamson are known to share a great bond and that camaraderie was apparent even after the match when the two posed for some selfies.
David Warner, speaking to Star Sports, in the post-match presentation ceremony did not hint at any kind of bitterness and instead basked in the glory of a spectacular innings.
