DAVID MARCUS: Public broadcasting's purpose has passed. It's time to pull the plug

Columnist David Marcus writes that public broadcasting, which began before the age of cable and the internet, has outlived its usefulness. Not only that, it has also deviated from its original mission of objectivity.
There is no reason or excuse for taxpayer dollars to go towards obviously biased news coverage in an age when information is quite literally at everyone’s fingertips. David Marcus is a columnist living in West Virginia and the author of "Charade: The COVID Lies That Crushed A Nation."
A big part of the reason that programming was limited was that production costs for broadcasting were incredibly high.
