'Dances With Wolves' actor’s sex abuse trial on hold as he seeks dismissal

Nathan Chasing Horse, who played Smiles a Lot in "Dances With Wolves," has been charged with 18 felonies for allegedly abusing indigenous women and girls.
His trial was expected to start in May, but on Wednesday, Chasing Horse’s public defender Kristy Holston asked for a hold on the proceedings after they asked the state Supreme Court to toss his indictment.
Chasing Horse was arrested in January and was indicted in February. He is charged with 18 felonies.
Former film producer Harvey Weinstein was back in court as he prepares for his rape retrial. Weinstein faces an additional charge of forcing oral sex on a woman in 2006.
