IPL 2021: David Warner is currently isolating in the Sunrisers Hyderabad bio-bubble after teammate Wriddhiman Saha reportedly tested positive for Covid-19. The tournament was suspended on Tuesday and Australian players are awaiting more clarity on return home amid travel ban.
Australia opener and former Suinrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner shared an emotional message sent to him from his family back home after Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 was postponed indefinitely on Tuesday. Warner took to social media to share the message with his followers. IPL 2021 was suspended on Tuesday after multiple Covid-19 reports emerged from bio-bubbles of franchises in Ahmedabad and Delhi. The BCCI confirmed the suspension and said it does not want to compromise on the safety of the players, support staff and the other participants involved in organising the IPL. Following the suspension of IPL 2021, the Australian players, support staff and officials are facing uncertainty over their return home. The Australian government announced ban on passenger flights from India at least until May 15. Notably, the government had threatened harsh fines and jail terms for its citizens if they entered Australia after having been in India within their last 14 days of their arrival.More Related News
