The IMD said on Thursday that a low pressure area formed over the Arabian sea could intensify into a cyclonic storm, resulting in heavy rainfall in Goa, south Konkan and parts of Gujarat.
A low pressure area formed over the Arabian Sea is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm by May 16, said the India Meteorological Department. This could lead to heavy rainfall in some places in Goa and the south Konkan region. Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri districts in Maharashtra constitute the south Konkan region. and adjoining Southeast & Eastcentral Arabian Sea by 15th May.
