Cyclone Tauktae: 188 rescued, 86 bodies recovered, all missing persons aboard barge P-305, Varaprada accounted for

After nearly a week-long search and rescue operation, all missing individuals aboard barge P-305 and tugboat Varaprada which capsized during Cyclone Tauktae have been accounted for.
Since barge P-305 and tugboat Varaprada capsized off the Mumbai coast six days ago during Cyclone Tauktae, the Indian Navy’s search and rescue operation has been underway. All 274 missing persons aboard the two vessels have now been accounted for. 08 #BNVs reportedly recovered along coast at #Raigarh Maharashtra & 08 #BNVs along Gujarat coast near #Valsad.While all 274 crew reported missing have been accounted for, final confirmation pending till identification of all BNVs recovered is completed (2/2).@DefenceMinIndia A total of 188 survivors were rescued at sea. Of these, two were crewmembers aboard tugboat Varaprada which had a total strength of 13. The mortal remains of 70 bodies had been recovered at sea by the Indian Navy and Coast Guard earlier.More Related News
