Ahead of Cyclone Gulab's landfall, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the preparedness in vulnerable areas with senior officials.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today reviewed the preparedness in districts which could be affected by Cyclone Gulab's landfall on Sunday midnight. Laying stress on the zero-casualty mission of the state government, Naveen Patnaik has instructed collectors to wind up evacuation of people living in low-lying areas, slopes and other vulnerable pockets by 4 pm today.
Reviewing the preparedness for the cyclone with high officials and district collectors through video-conferencing, Naveen Patnaik, who is in New Delhi on an official visit, said all measures should be taken to prevent the loss of human lives, the CMO informed.
