Cuomo says Biden, Dems have no border ‘policy or plan’ as rumors swirl he’s eying run for NYC mayor
NY Post
Disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo blasted his own party over the lack of a border policy Thursday, criticizing the party’s “ineffectiveness” and “ideological divides” amid rumors he’s considering a run for New York City mayor.
Cuomo urged Democrats to unite on the migrant issue, writing in an op-in published in The Hill that the party has no “policy or plan” to combat the chaos wreaking havoc on the Big Apple.
“What is our border policy, and how did we expect to handle the 2 million immigrants and asylum-seekers who came over the border, and are continuing to come over?” Cuomo wrote.
“Right now there is no Democratic policy or plan and Americans know it, highlighting Democrats’ governmental ineffectiveness and the idealogical divides in our party,” he continued.
The ex-governor criticized President Joe Biden for lack of solutions to the crisis, which he blamed in part on Republican governors shuttling busloads of migrants to Democrat-run cities.
Democratic leaders, including those in New York and New Jersey, can’t even come to an agreement with each other on how to fix the problem, Cuomo argued and said the Garden State has rejected Biden’s proposed sites for migrant facilities and directed any busses entering back to New York.
