CUET 2022 completely based on Class 12 syllabus: UGC chairman Jagadesh Kumar

UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has said that the CUET will be based on Class 12 syllabus only.
CUET 2022: On Tuesday, the chairman of University Grand Commission, UGC, M Jagadesh Kumar, said that the syllabus of the upcoming Common University Entrance Test, CUET 2022, will be completely based on the syllabus of Class 12. He further added that there would be no questions asked about the Class 11 syllabus.

He has further added that CUET may be held twice a year from the next academic session onwards. He asserted again that state board students will not be at a disadvantage in this UG admission process.
UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar in a PTI interview said that CUET will no more be limited only to central universities but also a few prominent private universities which indicated that they would like to come on board to use CUET scores for UG admissions.
CUCET or CUET will be an MCS-based computer-based test (CBT) based on NCERT textbooks. Incorrect answers will carry negative markings.
It will have three sections — Section A (the language test), Section B (the domain specific test) and Section C, which is optional, is a general test for vocational/open eligibility/cross stream test.
Section A (language test): Candidates will need to compulsorily appear for one language test in one of 13 languages -- Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia and English.
