IPL 2022: Former CSK captain MS Dhoni became only the second Indian player after Rohit Sharma to play 350 matches in the shortest format of the game.
Chennai Super Kings wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni is making his 350th appearance in the T20 format on Sunday as he takes the field against the Punjab Kings, becoming the only second Indian player to reach the mark after Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma.

All but one (Raina) are taking part in the 2022 edition of the IPL. Earlier, Dhoni had become the sixth Indian to score 7000 runs in T20 cricket during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 match against Lucknow Super Giants in Mumbai. Dhoni has now scored over 7000 runs in 350 T20 matches. He has 0 hundred and 28 fifties in the shortest format of the game.
Ravindra Jadeja took over from MS Dhoni after the former skipper decided to quit the corvette role 2 days before the start of IPL 2022. Chennai franchise said in their statement that Dhoni will continue to represent the franchise "this season and beyond".
This is the first time CSK has a designated captain for an entire IPL apart from Dhoni. Apart from Dhoni and now Jadeja, Suresh Raina is the only cricketer to have led CSK in Dhoni's absence.
