Crime Branch seeks former Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze’s custody in Goregaon extortion case

The Crime Branch wants to interrogate former Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze in a Goregaon extortion case, in which former Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh has also been named as an accused.

A special court under the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act has sought a reply from the Taloja jail hospital on the health condition of dismissed Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze.

This is after the Mumbai police approached the court to seek Vaze's custody to investigate the extortion case registered against him and former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh at Goregaon police station by businessman Bimal Agarwal.
