Members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) swam in stagnant water in Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday to push the local authorities to complete the drainage work in the area.
Members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) swam in a pool of stagnant water in Elachipalayam block of Namakkal district in Tamil Nadu on Sunday to drive home a point. They were demanding that the local authorities take action and complete the drainage work in the area. During highway expansion work near Elachipalayam in Tiruchengode, an incomplete drainage canal had been dug. The incomplete drain has created problems for commuters in the area. The issue is exacerbated every year during the monsoons.More Related News
