Cow dung will be sold at Rs 1.5/kg at the gas plant to be set up in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly.
The Yogi government is all set to make Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) from cow dung, starting from Bareilly. A cow dung gas plant will be set up soon in the state where dung will also be purchased for Rs1.5/kg. Livestock farmers will get a direct benefit from this, and their income will increase, as the government claims.
The state government is moving towards a permanent solution to this problem, which had political attention throughout his previous tenure.
The Yogi government's Dung CNG Plant Scheme (Dung CNG Plant Scheme) will benefit the farmers of the state the most. In this scheme, the government will purchase cow dung from the cattle farmers because they will get good profit.
The government will buy cow dung at Rs 1.50 per kg from cattle owners and this dung will be fully used for making cow dung plants.
Uttar Pradesh's Animal Husbandry and Milk Development Minister Dharampal Singh has said in the past that the work of making cow dung plants in the state will start very soon.
Apart from this, Animal Husbandry and Milk Development Minister Dharampal Singh also said that within a year, farmers will get rid of the problem of stray animals roaming on the roads as well as entering the fields and destroying the crops in Bareilly.
Significantly, stray cattle emerged as a major election issue in the UP-Assembly election where the opposition parties had fiercely targeted the Yogi government in this matter.
