Covid: Bengaluru's case positivity rate drops below 5%

The Covid case positivity rate in Bengaluru has dropped below 5 per cent, the first time since a spike in infections in the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
Bengaluru city on Monday saw Covid case positivity rate lower than 5 per cent, the first time since a spike in infections in the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. The peak of Covid-19 cases was in the first week of May, at 38 per cent. Since the lockdown was extended in Bengaluru and the state, the case positivity rate has come down to 5 per cent. BBMP Commissioner Gaurav Gupta said, "It is because of the efforts and cooperation of the government, doctors and people during the lockdown. We are also vaccinating at a good pace. We have a plan to vaccinate 30 lakh people this month."More Related News
