The demand for oxygen in various states has increased by 48 per cent from April 25 onwards in comparison to an earlier assessment.
With the recent spike in Covid-19 cases across the country, the demand for oxygen in various states has increased by nearly 50 per cent from April 25 onwards in comparison to an earlier assessment for the same date. The big spike in demand for oxygen comes in less than 10 days of the earlier projection made on April 15 as cases spiralled prompting a revision in supply, shows government data studied by India Today. In wake of the acute shortage, the Centre has increased the number of states and union territories from 12 to 22 in its assessment to maintain a steady supply of oxygen across the country.More Related News
