Covid-19: Mumbai police raid medical store to recover 285 Remdesivir vials

Mumbai Police raided a medical store and recovered 284 injections of the life-saving drug Remdesivir, which is in short supply. Remdesivir has proven critical in the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Thursday night arrested two people in possession of 284 Remdesivir injections. The bust comes at a time when Maharashtra is facing the second wave of Covid-19 infections and there is an increased demand for the life-saving drug Remdesivir. Injections of Remdesivir are sold in the black market for Rs 5,000-6,000 per unit. On Thursday, one person was arrested from Jogeshwari in Mumbai with 12 Remdesivir injections. The arrest led to late-night raids at a GR Pharma outlet where cops recovered 284 injections of Remdesivir and arrested two more individuals.More Related News
