Having run out of vaccine stocks for 45 years and above, the State government on Wednesday announced that vaccination for the 18 to 44 age group (including those who have already booked appointments) will be temporarily suspended in all government vaccination centres from May 14 till further orders. According to an official statement, the State government has decided that the vaccine procured directly by the State for vaccination of persons between 18 and 44 years will now be utilised for vaccination of beneficiaries who are due for the second dose. The State has so far procured a stock of nearly 7 lakh doses of Covishield for the 18-44 age group and more consignments are awaited.More Related News
