The months of August and September were marked by a steady increase in daily COVID-19 cases, but those numbers appeared to have stabilized for now.
The province reported 587 new cases on Tuesday. Quebec's seven-day average is 748 daily infections.
Despite a decrease in the latest daily numbers, COVID-19 hospitalizations are trending upwards. There were 274 people in hospitals as of Monday.
At start of the month, the province had 131 COVID-19 patients.
The province is preparing to unveil a plan to make up for significant staffing shortages within its struggling health network.
Health Minister Christian Dubé said the plan will be announced on Thursday, and will focus on providing incentives for nurses who left their jobs to come back.
