To combat the spread of Covid-19, a seven-day lockdown was imposed in Aizawl and 10 other district headquarters in Mizoram. The restrictions came into force at 4 AM on Tuesday and would remain till 4 AM on April 26.
The Mizoram government on Tuesday imposed a seven-day lockdown in Aizawl and 10 other district headquarters in the wake of steep rise in Covid-19 cases in the state. The strict measures were announced to mitigate the chances of further spread of coronavirus infections in Mizoram. The restrictions came into force at 4 AM on Tuesday and would remain till 4 AM on April 26. The government order did not mention the word “lockdown”. The notification issued by the Disaster Management and Rehabilitation department of the Mizoram government on Monday was signed by Mizoram Chief Secretary Lalnunmawia Chuaungo.More Related News
