Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported 519 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and 311 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 160,762. Out of 519 new cases, 419 are community cases and 100 from travellers returning from abroad. A 67-year-old patient succumbed to the virus taking the total death toll in Qatar due to Covid-19 to 274. The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 174,228 and there are 13,192 active cases under treatment. There are 149 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total number of patients in the hospital to 1145. 21 were admitted to intensive care in the last 24 hours, and so 196 people continue to receive medical attention in ICU. 5,992 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (10,095 tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 1,672,650 tests. 21,042 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered during the past 24 hours.
