Cori Bush accused of 'grifting' for introducing Mike Brown Bill: 'She knows she's lying'
Fox News
Rep. Cori Bush faces a wave of mockery after introducing a bill to commemorate the death of Mike Brown and help families deal with the trauma of alleged police violence.
In a video she shared along with the announcement, Bush lamented Brown’s death, speaking about how this bill would help families who are "harmed by police violence." After speaking about the act she declared, "Happy Birthday Mike Brown, rest in power." Alexander Hall is an associate editor for Fox News Digital. Story tips can be sent to Alexander.hall@fox.com.
Witnesses at the time claimed Brown had his hands up when he was shot and killed by Officer Darren Wilson, leading to the "Hands up, don't shoot" mantra that marked protests at the time. However, subsequent investigations, including by the Obama administration's Department of Justice, revealed corroborated Wilson's account of the story that he acted in self-defense when he killed Brown.
Conservative commentators on social media also recalled a different narrative about Brown’s death nearly 10 years ago.
