Cops not helping, SIT still not formed, allege West Bengal post-poll violence petitioners 

One petitioner in a West Bengal post-poll violence case alleged that the state government has not yet taken any steps to form the court-ordered special investigation team. Another petitioner claimed the cops are not helping her at all.

On August 19, the Calcutta High Court ordered a CBI probe into murder and rape cases during the alleged post-poll violence in West Bengal earlier this year. The bench also ordered the formation of a court-monitored special investigation team (SIT) to probe all other offences related to alleged post-poll violence.
