Windsor police say an arrest has been made — and charges laid — in connection to the alleged sexual assault of a minor.
The accused is a 27-year-old man, while the victim is a girl under the age of 16.
Authorities say investigators discovered the victim had been befriended by the man at a Wyandotte Street East business, near Marentette Avenue.
"The suspect then drove the victim to a nearby residence, where she was allegedly sexually assaulted," police said in a statement.
Charges of sexual assault and sexual interference have been laid.
