One critic responded to Ralph Babet with the dictionary definition of "self-own."
A Donald Trump-loving politician in Australia drew mockery over a social media post about backing the U.S. Republican nominee in the 2024 election.
“Anyone with half a brain would support Donald J. Trump for President,” Ralph Babet, the conservative United Australia party’s only representative in the Australian Senate, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, last week.
In previous posts, Babet has referred to Trump as a “gosh darn legend, claimed the media in Australia “is infiltrated by woke left wing activists masquerading as journalists,” mocked Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, as a “cracking banshee” and claimed that “leftism is a mental illness.”
Babet also has as his banner image on X the picture of a bloodied Trump following the July attempt on his life at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Critics pointed out the backfiring nature of his pro-Trump post, with one commenter even sharing the dictionary definition of “self-own.”
