Congress veteran's 'mad dog' rant over Prophet remark row, then a condemnation
India Today
Senior Congress leader Aziz Qureshi denounced the comments made by BJP spokespersons on the Prophet while also condemning the Gulf nations' move to pull Indian products from the shelves of supermarkets.
The international backlash over comments made by BJP leaders on national television and Twitter is the “saddest stories of fate”, Aziz Qureshi, veteran politician and the former Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Mizoram, said in a scathing statement, lamenting the deteriorating ties between India and the Middle-East.
“It is the saddest stories of fate that the hard-earned labour of Jawaharlal Nehru in keeping the Arab and Muslim countries closer and friendly with India, compared with Pakistan, has become a matter of ‘love's labour lost’ by the immature, foolish and communal politics of a misguided section of Indians,” he said.
“Everything has gone with the wind despite PM Modi's popularity being at the zenith,” he said, adding that the entire “Arab and Muslim countries are demanding an apology from the government of India for the foolish, mean and mindless action of two individuals”.

“If some "hot b****" and a "mad dog" in their ugly and “badboodaar” voice start barking against the greatest human being ever born on Earth, nothing would affect the greatness and the message of Prophet Muhammad to save, serve and guide the suffering humanity. These creatures of ignoble circumstance and other "sons of a gun" would always remain barking dogs and b****** trying to spit on the moon. In the end, they would only meet their miserable deaths and a tragic end,” the leader’s statement read.
However, the senior leader is against the boycott campaign against India internationally. “Everyone, irrespective of belief and faith, must unequivocally condemn it. But there are certain things which shouldn't have happened ”
“It was unfortunate that disgraceful posters and photographs of PM Modi were placed at some places. I am opposed to the politician Modi and his policies. But as PM, he is my Prime Minister as well and his insult, in any form, anywhere in the world, is not acceptable. I condemn it,” he said.
