The BJP has accused Punjab CM Charanjit Channi of “supporting and promoting subversive forces” after the state government announced Rs 2 lakh compensation for Republic Day violence accused.

The BJP has accused Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi of “supporting and promoting subversive forces” after the state government announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the 83 people arrested for allegedly stoking violence at the Red Fort on Republic Day.

“Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu have been exposed by making this announcement,” BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh said.
