Congress supporters on Friday attempted to block Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s convoy in Telangana’s Kamareddy and were detained by the police. Congress workers clashed with BJP workers and police personnel who tried to stop them in which many of them were injured. Following the clash, police had to intervene and clear the route, news agency ANI reported.
In the video, Congress workers can be seen jumping in front of the minister’s car, who were then dispersed by the police.

Nirmala Sitharaman is on a tour to Zaheerabad parliamentary constituency as part of BJP's Parliament Pravas Yojana.
The incident happened when the Union Minister was at Birkur in Kamareddy district. She visited the public distribution system (PDS) shops and asked the officials of the civil supplies department and district collectorate why the photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi were missing from shops.
