
Congress's Zishan Haider quits hours after Gujarat youth leader's resignation

All India Congress Committee (AICC) member Zishan Haider on Sunday resigned from the party.
In a double blow to Congress on Sunday, hours after Gujarat Youth Congress president Vishwanathsinh Vaghela's exit, All India Congress Committee (AICC) member Zishan Haider, has also resigned from the party.
In a letter to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, Zishan Haider wrote that "Congress does not need loyal people." He also alleged that big leaders are being forced to leave the party.
Zishan Haider had been questioning the Congress leadership for a long time on social media.
Gujarat Youth Congress president Vishwanathsinh Vaghela on Sunday resigned from his post. The resignation comes a day before Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's visit to Gujarat.
Rahul Gandhi will address a rally of booth-level party workers for the upcoming Assembly elections in Gujarat on September 5 ahead of the party’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.
He will address the ‘parivartan sankalp’ convention of booth level workers at Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad on September 5.
The 35-year-old Vishwanathsinh Vaghela was appointed as Gujarat Youth Congress president in January this year.
