Ahead of the Congress party’s protest against the rise in electricity prices, the Hyderabad police detained several leaders, including state unit chief and MP Revanth Reddy.
Revanth Reddy was placed under house arrest on Thursday to prevent him from protesting at the Civil Supplies Bhavan and Vidyut Soudha in Hyderabad.
A group of policemen were deployed outside Revanth Reddy's house in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills. However, ditching the police, Reddy snuck out of his house and joined the protest.
