The Congress has rejected the Centre’s clarification hitting back at the states over the quality of ventilators supplied to hospitals. Citing a report by the Aurangabad medical college in Maharashtra, the Congress termed the Centre’s clarification a “lie”. Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant cited the report to allege that the Centre stood exposed over the supply of faulty ventilators to states despite the best efforts by the BJP leaders to do a cover-up. Sawant had alleged last week that ventilators provided to Maharashtra's Aurangabad district were substandard and not functioning optimally. Similar complaints were made by Punjab, another Congress-ruled state. The Union health ministry on Friday dismissed the allegations as “baseless and incorrect, and not supported by full information on the matter”.More Related News
