An Assam Congress legislator and his security team narrowly escaped an attack by armed men who opened fire at the group near the Assam-Nagaland border in Jorhat district. - ’ @himantabiswa The incident took place at Disai Valley Reserve Forest area along the Assam-Nagaland border on Thursday when Congress MLA of Mariani assembly constituency Rupjyoti Kurmi and a team of security personnel, local villagers visited the area to take stock of the situation arising out of the border dispute in the area.
