Congress lacked decision-making ability, says former party leader Kripashankar Singh

Former Congress leader Kripashankar Singh, who was the minister of state for home in the previous Congress-NCP government in Maharashtra, joined the BJP last year.
Former Congress leader Kripashankar Singh, who’s now with the BJP, has said that the leadership in the Congress party “lacked the decision-making ability”. He said, “With the BJP, I understand what a party that makes a difference means."
Singh added, "The party I was previously with (Congress) didn’t evaluate about Article 370. We used to say in our speeches that Kashmir is ours, but it never used to be when Union Home Minister Amit Shah talked about removing Article 370, there was a Congress leader who said that blood will shed in the valley and you will know the real state when you go there. But Amit Shah said that come what may, he will not let Kashmir slip out.”
Kripashankar Singh quit the Congress in 2019 and joined the BJP last year. He’s a former state minister as well. He has now been made in charge of the Uttar Bhartiya Morcha, aiming the BMC polls. Singh could be instrumental in securing the North Indian community's votes for the BJP.
Talking to India Today, Kripashankar Singh said that he promised the leadership that he would deliver results and that the BJP would emerge victorious in the upcoming civic body elections.
“When I was with the Congress, then I was also fulfilling my responsibilities and there came a point when I felt that the nation comes first. I joined the BJP and was made state vice president. Now I have been put in charge of the North Indian morcha. I have told the state president that I would repose this faith with an emphatic victory,” he said.
