Congress president Sonia Gandhi has constituted a three-member committee to resolve differences among its leaders in Punjab.
Taking a serious note of alleged factionalism within its Punjab unit, Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Friday constituted a three-member committee to resolve differences among its leaders in the state. The committee comes following the ongoing rift between Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and his former cabinet colleague Navjot Singh Sidhu, ahead of the 2022 assembly elections in the state. Sources told India Today TV that the party’s in-charge of Punjab Affairs Harish Rawat, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and veteran leader from Delhi JP Agarwal have been appointed as the members of the committee. They will be meeting for the first time on Saturday morning at the party headquarters in New Delhi to work out modalities on how to go about fulfilling its objectives, sources said.More Related News
