The Congress Disciplinary Committee is set to meet tomorrow in Delhi.
The Disciplinary Committee of the Congress is expected to meet in Delhi tomorrow to rule on the complaints filed against KV Thomas and Sunil Jhakar.
According to sources, the AICC incharge of Punjab, Harish Chaudhary, wrote to the party leadership after receiving multiple complaints against Sunil Jhakar.
In the complaints received by Chaudhary, Punjab Congress leaders said that former Punjab Congress chief Jakhar made disparaging remarks about fellow colleagues.
According to reports, Sunil Jakhar recently gave a news channel interview in which he made a veiled attack on Channi. He also questioned the Congress leadership's decision to appoint Channi as the state's chief minister.
Congress leaders, including former minister Raj Kumar Verka, had slammed Jhakar, demanding that he apologise for using "objectionable language." The former Punjab minister also demanded that Jakhar be expelled from the party.
Meanwhile, Kerala Congress president K Sudhakaran has urged the Congress leadership to take action against former Union Minister KV Thomas.
Despite being asked not to attend a CPI (M) seminar in Kannur, KV Thomas attended and even praised Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
