This comes a day after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid at his house in connection with alleged corruption in the implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy.
Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed on Saturday demanded Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s resignation over his alleged involvement in a corruption case in implementing the Delhi Excise Policy. This comes a day after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid for nearly 15 hours on the minister’s house.
Congress leaders Alka Lamba and Abhishek Dutt also said that Manish Sisodia should resign from his position.
Earlier, Delhi Congress Chief Anil Kumar said the party wrote to the then Police Commissioner of Delhi, Rakesh Asthana, in June informing him of a “multi-crore scam” in the illegal distribution of liquor licences to shell companies. According to Rakesh, no action was taken despite his appeal.
According to Manish Sisodia, the CBI seized his computer, phone and some documents after the 15 hour-raid on his house.
