Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) released a video showing a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driver nearly colliding with another tractor-trailer on Highway 17 near Thessalon, Ont.
The timestamp on the video indicates the incident took place on April 29.
“East Algoma OPP have arrested and charged a CMV driver with numerous Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code offences after a near head-on collision on Highway 17,” said police in a social media post on Saturday.
OPP said no one was injured in the incident.
“Drive safe, stay awake, drive sober and no distracted driving,” said police.
Next week, Sudbury city council will decide how to rehabilitate the College Street underpass, which was built in 1949.
