Coimbatore sexual harassment | Principal gets bail in Class-12 girl's suicide case

The principal of a private school was granted conditional bail in the case of the suicide of a student, who had alleged sexual harassment by a teacher.
A Pocso (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) court has granted bail to the principal of a private Coimbatore school in the case of a student’s death. A teacher of the school has been booked in the case wherein the girl alleged sexual harassment in her suicide note.
The 17-year-old girl had died by suicide on November 12. It was found that the Class-12 student was allegedly sexually assaulted repeatedly by a teacher at her school, leading to severe stress that eventually resulted in her suicide. The girl had even asked her parents to shift her to a new school.
