While on his way to work, Ashrat spotted Rs 20,000 lying on a road in Coimbatore. He handed over the money to the Annur police station. Inspector Nithya praised him and gifted him a book as a token of appreciation.
The Coimbatore Police has gifted a book to a man who handed over Rs 20,000 found lying on the road in Annur, Coimbatore. Ashrat, a resident of Otterpalayam in Annur, works in a private fruit shop.
When he was on his way to work on Thursday, April 7, he found Rs 20,000 lying on the road near a private school.
Ashrat, with the intention of returning the money to its owner, took the cash to the Annur police station.
At a time when people resort to any means to make money, the act of the young man was appreciated by the police. The Annur Police station Inspector Nithya praised the youth and gifted a book to the young man as a token of appreciation.
Police have also initiated an inquiry to find the real owner of the cash that was found outside the school.
