A 50-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday for murdering her one-year-old grandson in Coimbatore. Post mortem revealed there was a crack on the child’s skull and a biscuit wrapper was stuffed in his throat.
Coimbatore Police on Thursday arrested a 50-year-old woman for allegedly killing her one-year-old grandson. The incident was reported from Anbagam Street on Lawley Road in Coimbatore, which left the locals in a state of shock.
According to a report published in The Times of India, RS Puram police said that the accused, identified as R Nagalakshmi (50), stayed with her daughter Nandini (24) and her grandson Durgesh. Nandini tied knot with Nithyanandam, a taxi driver hailing from Saravanampatti, five years ago, but Nagalakshmi did not approve of the marriage.
