Coimbatore corporation launches Kalaignarin Varumun Kappom scheme; more than 2,000 benefitted

Over 1,000 people were screened on the first day of the launch of the Kalaignarin Varumun Kappom scheme in Coimbatore.
The Coimbatore Corporation unveiled the 'Kalaignarin Varumun Kappom' scheme and on the first day of the launch, the city corporation screened over 1,000 persons on Tuesday. According to a report published in the Times of India (TOI), at least 2,256 people gained benefits from the first medical camp that the corporation conducted. The medical camp was organised at the corporation middle school at Chinnavedampatti yesterday.
In the medical camp, at least 21 stalls were set up and doctors of various specialisations were deployed to provide medical care to the people. The camp, inaugurated by corporation commissioner Raja Gopal Sunkara, offered paediatric dental, cardiology, orthopaedics and other specialities. Some nutritional kits were also given to pregnant women.
