Coast Guard rushes to aid people in 'distressed' boat that was 'rapidly sinking'

The U.S. Coast Guard in California worked alongside area agencies to rescue two adults and three children after their boat began sinking in San Diego bay.
The Coast Guard Sector San Diego Joint Harbor Operations Center received a distress call that all three of the boat’s bilge pumps had failed, and the vessel was taking on water. Sarah Rumpf-Whitten is a breaking news writer for Fox News Digital and Fox Business.
The Coast Guard sent a boatcrew to assist the recreational vessel to the rapidly sinking boat, the agency said. She is a native of Massachusetts and is based in Orlando, Florida.
