Commenters cackled about the president-elect's new "eyes and ears."
President-elect Donald Trump’s naming of actors Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone as his “special ambassadors” to Hollywood got the treatment on social media.
Trump on Thursday announced on his Truth Social platform that the trio will be “special envoys” and his “eyes and ears” in Tinseltown in a bid to boost the U.S. movie industry which he claimed “has lost much business over the last four year to Foreign Countries.”
Critics, though, scorned and mocked the news.
Some referenced past controversies that have engulfed the MAGA-supporting stars, while others suggested which other Trump-devoted actors will be “pissed” to have been left off the list.
