Closure notices issued for violation of pollution norms in Delhi-NCR, Centre tells SC in affidavit

The Centre has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court informing it about the action taken to tackle the air pollution crisis in Delhi-NCR.

The Centre, in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court, has said an active action plan and proposed short and medium-term plans are in place to curb the pollution crisis in Delhi-NCR, adding that closure notices have been issued for violation of the norms.

In an affidavit filed in the top court, the Centre said notices of site closure over industry emissions, diesel generator sets, construction or demolition emissions have been issued after inspection by the flying squads.
