Christian Bale credits Leonardo DiCaprio for helping career: 'Any role anybody gets' is 'because he passed'

Christian Bale revealed many actors are only offered parts in movies after Leonardo DiCaprio has already passed on them. One example is "American Psycho."

Bale said there were a few actors cast in the role before him, one of them being DiCaprio, but Bale never lost hope he would eventually be cast. Bale says it also happens to every other actor working today. Lori Bashian is an entertainment production assistant for Fox News Digital. 

"It’s not just me. Look, to this day, any role that anybody gets, it’s only because he’s passed on it beforehand," Bale explained. "It doesn’t matter what anyone tells you. It doesn’t matter how friendly you are with the directors. All those people that I’ve worked with multiple times, they all offered every one of those roles to him first.
